We’re announcing a new research partnership with ElevenLabs, the leading AI voice technology company headquartered in London. The partnership agreement will enable deeper two-way collaboration on AI safety and security, including shared research, exploration of emerging risks in voice AI systems, mitigations, and best practices.
The collaboration will advance evidence on the impact of real-time AI voice conversations on humans, including answering questions like:
- How well people can distinguish AI from humans in real-time voice conversations
- How the perceived identity of a conversational partner shapes trust and behaviour
As voice AI becomes more prevalent in everyday life, these questions will be central to deploying systems responsibly and securely.
